LPSD announces details of the upcoming 2020 State Convention May 9th in Pierre

The LPSD Executive Committee met recently to decide how to handle our annual State Convention with this viral outbreak currently ongoing. Due to this also being our nominating convention for our candidates this year as well, we felt it was best to continue on as planned with no postponements.

So with that said, we are pleased to announce that our 2020 State Convention will be a first of its kind, hybrid event, with the option to attend either in person or online this year!

The convention is scheduled to take place at The Longbranch, 351 S Pierre St
Pierre, South Dakota 57501, on May 9th at 4pm.

Due to local social distancing guidelines there will be a cap on in person attendance. So we would ask if you are planning to attend in person and not online, that you would preregister at our Facebook event here so we can get an idea of how many are attending in person.

The Libertarian Party of South Dakota has the opportunity to nominate Legislative and Statewide candidates at our convention. Seats up for election this year include; US Senate, US House of Representatives, Public Utilities Commissioner as well as all of the State House and Senate races. We encourage you to reach out to us if you are interested in any of these elections. Email info@lpsouthdakota.org for more information or to let us know you are interested!

You must be a registered Libertarian in South Dakota to run for office or vote for candidates.

Details on how to join the convention online coming soon..

Update: The Convention will be able to be attended online via Zoom
