2023 State Convention Results

The Libertarian Party of South Dakota recently held it’s annual State Convention on Saturday May 6th in Deadwood.

An Activism Training session presented by Lisa Marie Nolen started us off that morning before the business portion began. Lisa is the formerly Deputy State Director of Americans for Prosperity South Dakota and now works with We Are the Power.

Our longtime Treasurer Daryl Root decided to retire this year, he gave an outgoing speech at Convention. Thank you for your years of service Mr Root! (Daryl Root pictured below)

We were given a presentation during the Convention from Benjamin who was there advocating for Gold Backs being used as alternative currency.

We held Executive Committee Officer Elections after the presentation. Here is the list of the following Elected Officers to serve on the State Executive Committee from 2023 – 2025 :

To close out the Convention after the Officer Elections we had two guest speakers. Emmett Reistroffer COO of Genesis Farms and former 2022 US House Candidate Collin Duprel.
