LPSD Announces Their 6th Annual Freedom Feast BBQ

It’s that time of year again to announce the date of this year’s Freedom Feast! Freedom Feast is the Libertarian Party of South Dakota’s annual end of Summer BBQ and day of fun. This year the festivities will take place on Saturday September 7th starting at 10:30am.

Join us at the Palisades and take part in everything the Park has to offer including: Hiking, Fishing, Swimming, Kyaking and Camping. We will be having our first ever People’s Choice Salsa Contest, so bring your best home made salsa to share and vote for the best! We will also be holding a Corn Hole Tournament again this year, with prizes for the top three players including the Trophy seen below. Sign up at Noon, the games begin at 1pm!

We will eat BBQ shortly after the Tournament concludes. Food to include: Pulled Pork, Hambugers & Hot Dogs, Cowboy Beans, Corn, Watermelon and various other sides. There will even be a couple Vegan options if that’s your thing. If you would like to bring a side dish to share please do!

Come out and network with other local Libertarians and we will have two of our candidates currently running for Office this year in attendance, Tamara Lesnar District 1 State House, Josh Dennert for State House District 1 and Greg Zimmerman District 8 State House. Freedom Feast as always is a Free and Family Friendly Event, however Park Entrance Fees do apply. (so bring a friend and carpool!)

They have expanded the Palisades this year and moved the entrance. Freedom Feast will still be held at the same Park Shelter Area (Park Shelter 4) that we have always used however the entrance is on the opposite end of the Park now.

We hope to see you there!
