LPSD Announces Their 6th Annual Freedom Feast BBQ

It’s that time of year again to announce the date of this year’s Freedom Feast! Freedom Feast is the Libertarian Party of South Dakota’s annual end of Summer BBQ and day of fun. This year the festivities will take place on Saturday September 7th starting at 10:30am.

Join us at the Palisades and take part in everything the Park has to offer including: Hiking, Fishing, Swimming, Kyaking and Camping. We will be holding a Corn Hole Tournament again this year, with prizes for the top two players. Sign up at Noon, games begin at 1pm. We will eat shortly after the Tournament concludes. Food to include: Pulled Pork, Hambugers & Hot Dogs, Cowboy Beans, Corn, Watermelon and various other sides. There will even be a couple Vegan options if that’s your thing. If you would like to bring a side dish to share please do!

Come out and network with other local Libertarians and we will have a few Candidates currently running for Office this year in attendance. Freedom Feast as always is Free and a Family Friendly event, however Park Entrance Fees do apply. (so bring a friend and carpool)

If you are interested in tent camping with us there are still a few sites available by where we have reserved already, they are 100E, 101E and 102E and were still available at the time of writing this. You can make reservations to camp here.

They have expanded the Palisades this year and moved the entrance. Freedom Feast will still be held at the same Park Shelter Area (Park Shelter 4) that we have always used however the entrance is on the opposite end of the Park now.

We hope to see you there!
